Philosophy

Our rules for "A Lotto Luck" membership apply to every pool member and to us, the operators. When you join our pools, you are agreeing to the rules explained in this document. When we accept you as a member, we are agreeing, as operators, to these same rules.

We operate the lottery pools, but we are also players, just like you, and do not hold ourselves to a special position from which we may derive more from the results of a lotto win than the rest of our pool members. This philosophy separates us, as pool operators, from other lottery pool operators you may encounter on the web, some taking 20% off the top of a win for themselves, and dividing what remains among the pool members. 100% of all wins are divided equally among members; consider this our primary rule!

Membership

1. You join "A Lotto Luck" on a monthly basis for $12.00. This fee includes the purchase of 10 lottery tickets ($1.00 each) and a $2.00 membership for using our services.
2. When you join, you will be placed in one of four pools. You will be among 20 pool members, when the pool reaches its maximum number.
3. You may join each consecutive month, skip a month, join for a whole year or just when you feel like playing with us again.
4. Your membership starts with the very next draw your pool is scheduled to play. For example, if you joined on December 23rd and the next scheduled draw for your pool is January 2nd, you'd be in that draw and share equally in any winnings.
5. If membership payments fall short in your pool, we purchase as many tickets as possible using the membership money that was paid for the month; that is, 10 tickets for each full membership payment received.
6. You cannot expect to share in any pool winnings in the month/s for which you did not purchase a membership.
7. You may join as often as you like. We do not have recurring member fees.
8. Our membership request form asks for essential information only to set up your account. No fee is charged right away. We will contact you after receiving your membership request and you'll get the following:
   1. a link to pay your fee by PayPal
   2. notification of which pool you belong to (we decide this so as to make pools as equal as possible in membership count).

Ticket Purchases

1. We purchase all Mega Millions Lottery tickets at a state authorized lottery agent, right here in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
2. Each month we purchase 200 tickets for a single draw date for each pool, providing that each pool has its maximum number of members, which is 20.
3. If a pool does not have 20 members, we purchase 10 tickets for each member that does join. For example, if only five members are in a pool, that month the pool only plays 50 tickets. This means a win is split 5 ways.
4. We have our own system for selecting the number combinations to be played. We NEVER play quick pix.(We would like to have members submit number combinations, but this feature will be available in the future.)
5. We select different number combinations for each pool, but each pool plays on a different draw date.
6. If a jackpot is very high, we opt to play all pools on the SAME draw date.

Pool Information & Results

1. We publish all number combinations for each pool on our web site no later than 2 hours before the draw.
2. We publish all draw details and results on our web site the day after the draw no later than 12pm (noon) EST.
3. We publish copies of all ticket receipts on our web site. We encourage you to download your pool's receipts for your own records. No original receipts can be mailed to any member.
4. We publish copies of all ticket receipts to prove that we purchased the tickets and to aid you in verifying any winnings due you.

Pool Payouts

1. We pay winnings as soon as possible after the lottery commission accepts the wins and makes the pay out to us.
2. We share all winnings in a pool equally among its members and make payouts on ALL wins.
3. We pay all winnings by check (that is, a postal money order or a bank draft, depending on the amount of payment). A $1.00 check fee is deducted from the winnings. You may opt to have a deposit made into your Paypal account, if you have one, rather than being paid by check. W do not charge a fee for Paypal payments, not withstanding any fees PayPal itself might incur on the payment in your account.
4. We pay winnings when they accrue to $10 or more per pool member.
5. If a jackpot is won, we will take the cash payout.
